Dirty Roads and Rails of New York

During my recent visit to New York, the first time I have been to the financial capital of US, I was surprised to see that the city was no better than Mumbai, India’s own financial capital. Narrow dirty streets, chaotic traffic, the river waters appeared “black” and noisy to the core….. yes of course the buildings were much taller and once inside the noise and pollution didn’t permeate because of the air conditioning/ heating, but otherwise this city… the big apple is no different from the dirty city of Mumbai… here are some pics…

Graffitti on the walls next to the railway tracks is quite ugly and dirty looking
Trash along the railway tracks is in the range of tons, much more than what I saw in San Franscisco
